Travel Hack: Charge with your Television

Going on holiday brings a lot of enjoyment with it. Weeks in advance you start planning exactly what it is that you want to see and do, let alone actually being there and relishing in the experience. This summer, take a break from your daily routine and immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of a different city. Not fully prepared yet? No worries, we’re here to help you get the most out of your holiday. With our helpful Travel Hacks, we want to assist you with making your trip as cheap, luxurious and relaxing as possible!

Some travellers make a list of what they need to pack, others travel so often that they do it blindly. However, everyone forgets to pack something they need from time to time. This can be as essential as your passport, or something as commonplace as a toothbrush. Even phone accessories are at times overlooked, even though we always have our phones with us!

We can imagine that while going through packing hell, you do bring your phone’s charging cable (e.g. if you use your laptop to charge) with you, but accidentally forget the plug at home, still in a socket. Not having a travel plug makes the situation that much dire. If you’re staying in a hotel, then we have the ideal Travel Hack for you. As most modern TVs have a USB port, you can use this outlet to charge your phone. Perhaps a quite obvious tip, but one worth remembering when you’re in a panic. If you forgot your entire charging station at home, we recommend passing by the reception before running towards a store. Nearly all hotels have a variety of lost & found items where you might be likely to find a suitable USB cable.
