According to U.S. agents, terrorists from Yemen and Syria considered an attack on London's Heathrow Airport. The Kenyan government has advised its citizens to avoid flights from that country to Heathrow because these flights would be potentially used for an attack.

The warning came on the same day the UK governments had advised Brits to leave Kenya because of several terrorist attacks in the region, where 100 people died. Parts of The United States already issued a similar travel warning.

The information about the threat for Heathrow came from U.S. agents, local media reported.

Terrorists in Yemen and Syria would manufacture a number of smart bombs that cannot be detected at airports by scanning devices. These bombs would then be used to retrieve flights from Kenya to Western Europe. According to several reports, the risk at Heathrow would thereby be greatest. Travellers from Kenya are therefore advised to travel via other airports as Schiphol and Dubai, and from there to travel further to the final destination.

At the London airport additional security should secure the safety of the travellers.
