You rights are covered when flying with Flybe
If your flight with Flybe has been delayed, cancelled or overbooked, your rights are protected by EC 261/2004. Simply put, in case of long delays (3+ hours) and cancellations, the regulation states that you should be compensated for the time that you’ve lost due to the disruption. If you’ve been bumped off your flight through no fault of your own, primordially because your flight has been overbooked, then you are also entitled to be compensated.

Let’s begin by talking about Flybe’s network and punctuality
As the largest independent regional airline in Europe, Flybe transports 7 million passengers per year. Their route network, consisting of 85 airplanes, services 62 destinations in 9 countries. The company generally tends to be rather punctual, with an arrival rate per hour of 86.6% in 2016. However, if your flight has been delayed or cancelled, you can claim compensation since all their flights are covered by the regulation.
Claim compensation from Flybe when…
These are the most relevant criteria to take into account when assessing if you’re entitled to compensation from Flybe:
The flight route: The European regulation states that you can claim compensation when a flight is operated by a European airline (like Flybe) and it takes off from and/or arrives at an airport in Europe.
Circumstances: The regulations also state that, in order to claim compensation for a flight delay, cancellation or incident of denied boarding, the disruption must not have been a result of extraordinary circumstances.
The deadline for claiming compensation: In the United Kingdom and Ireland, it is possible to claim compensation up to 6 years after the date of the flight. The timeframe varies depending on the European country.
The total time of your delay: In most cases, you will be able to claim if you’ve arrived at your final destination with a delay greater than 3 hours. When it comes to cancellations, it's 2 hours.
How much money can I receive in compensation for my flight’s problems?
If your flight qualifies, the amount you will receive in compensation will depend on the distance covered by your flight. Because Flybe is a regional airline, most of its flights will grant you either 250 or 400 euros. If you were to be on a flight that would cover a distance greater than 3,500 km, then you would be entitled to 600 euros. Here is what the regulation sets out:
For all flights covering a distance of up to 1,500 kilometres, you will receive up to €250.00
For all flights covering a distance between 1,500 kilometres and 3,500 kilometres, you will receive up to €400.00
For flights covering a distance greater than 3,500 kilometres, you are entitled to up to €600.00
Also! Flybe must provide care in case of a long delay
The airline should provide you with proper care in the event of a long delay or flight cancellation. This may include the following
Meals and refreshments
Two different occasions in which you are allowed to establish communication with an individual of your choice (calls, emails, etc.)
Hotel accommodations if necessary (one or more nights) and transport from the airport to the establishment.
If you have incurred in additional costs because you did not receive the corresponding assistance and/or care, you have the right to be reimbursed. Remember to keep your itemised invoices and receipts. The request for reimbursement may also be attached to your claim for compensation.
What about if I had a connecting flight with Flybe and I missed it?
Connecting flights are taken into account when assessing the amount you should receive in compensation and if you’re actually entitled to receive it. In other words, your whole booking is covered by the regulation. That means that it’s the distance between your initial airport of departure and your final destination that will determine the total amount of money that you may receive in compensation for your delayed, overbooked or cancelled flight. Connecting flights are covered as long as they have been booked under the same reference. Put differently, only if they are part of the same ticket or itinerary.
My Flybe flight was delayed for more than 3 hours, am I entitled to compensation?
Regulation EC 261/2004 specifies that passengers may receive compensation if the delay, cancellation or denied boarding was caused by an incident under the responsibility of the airline. It means that the airline will have to pay compensation unless it can prove that the disruption was caused by an extraordinary circumstance. Examples of extraordinary circumstances include adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, political unrest, a threat to the safety of the flight or passengers, a passenger falling ill, etc.
My Flybe flight was cancelled and I arrived one day later at my final destination, what now?
Just as it is with delays, if the cancellation was not caused by an extraordinary circumstance then you’d be entitled to compensation. Remember that when it regards cancellations, and as long as you’ve arrived at your final destination 2 hours later than what was scheduled, you are entitled to claim compensation and the airline must prove that the disruption was caused by an extraordinary circumstance; if they want to avoid paying it that is.
How to claim compensation for a Flybe flight
While Flybe has a fairly reliable schedule, just like any other airline it does happen that a flight is delayed, cancelled or overbooked. According to Regulation (EC) No 261/2004an airline has to provide passengers with compensation if their flight is delayed for more than 3 hours, sporadically cancelled or overbooked. As stated before, depending on the exact circumstances, the compensation can range from €250.00 up to €600.00 per passenger. However, claiming this can at times be difficult as carriers try to avoid paying the compensation out.

I wasn't very optimistic about using this service, but the from the outset the communication was excellent and the instructions were clear. The claim is all handled via email and the online service portal. The team are very quick to answer any questions you have while the airline is assessing your claim. Very good Service for claming Money from Airline companies if you had a Problem like more than 3hrs delay, cancellations without reason.
For my case, Airline rejected my Claim via customer Service but after i used this site it took only 4 weeks from Claim to confirmation for compensation.
it's very easy to fill out the form to Claim and they answer/help right away.
you should try with this even though Airline already refused to pay you with several reason.

It's taken 12 months to extract compensation from Ryanair, purely down to the pathetic customer service on the part of the Irish Airline. Will never use them again as they use every tactic in the book not to pay out, and even though they have now settled conversation rate 1.40, as opposed to commercial rate of 1,31.

Very good service to use for claiming money from the airline companies due to a long delays or cancellations for no reason or no explanation! I had no idea it is even possible, but I filled their forms and did not need to pay a thing for it. They claimed 800 euros for 2 passengers and all they took was their commission fee from the claimed price for their work which is the way it should be. They managed to get the money within a month or so.

My plane was delayed for over seven hours on a UK flight from Newquay to Manchester. I contacted Flight Delay and they quickly completed my claim without any fuss.
I have received £195.62 minus a 25% charge, I actually received £145.07.
All this took approx 5 weeks from beginning of claim to having payment into bank.

Ryanair left us delayed at Knock Airport for over 4 hours. Not just inconvenient but annoyingly cost us an extra £23 airport parking which we could not reclaim. Although not a "serial complainer", saw the Flight Delayed Website and thought "why not?". So glad I did. Efficient and professional organisation that made it an easy process resulting in €300 for us and €100 for them and a "heads up" for Ryanair. Perfect.

What a nice surprise, cheque for delayed flight dropped through the letterbox. Asked flight delayed to do the work for me and a few emails and a few months later I received the cheque for over £600. Minus their 25% which I do not begrudge as if they hadn't done the work for me I would never have got anything. Also thanks to Martin Lewis for making me aware I could claim. My plane was over three hours late getting back to Manchester due to delays. I contacted Flight Delay and they got me £199 (minus 25% for their fee) for the delay.
