Advocate General from the European Court of Justice supports delayed passengers

Today Tuesday May 15th the Advocate General from the European Court of Justice stated that air passengers who encounter flight delays of three hours or more should get a financial compensation. This is what he advised the Court to confirm

For flight delays, cancellations and denied boarding passengers are entitled to a compensation of EUR 250 up to EUR 600 depending on the flight distance and the length of the delay.

Parallel to the conclusions of the Advocate General from the Supreme Court of the Netherlands last Friday, the Advocate General from the European Court of Justice expressed the view that the Sturgeon verdict should be abided by.

Airline companies have not provided enough ground to the Advocate General to call the Sturgeon verdict into question. This implies that passengers who arrived more than 3 hours later than the originally planned arrival time are entitled to a financial compensation.
