Travelers to the United States to be screened more thoroughly

Thursday, November 6, 2014

From Monday onwards passengers travelling to the United States will be facing tougher screening procedures. Stricter screening procedures were introduced by US authorities out of concern for Islamists with western passports travelling into the US. According to US media, this new rule applies to all travellers from countries which do not need to apply for a visa to enter the US. These passengers will now have to disclose whether they have dual nationality and whether they have changed their name in the past. Particularly European travellers shall be subjected to intensified screening.
