KLM to start flying the Boeing 787-10 in July

Boeing’s latest, the 787-10, is one of the most modern and efficient aircraft in the world. KLM ordered only eight of them and they are ready to inaugurate the routes on which they will be flying some of them. The 787-10 is part of Boeing’s line of dreamliners. These type of aeroplanes are supposed to be the most comfortable in the world.

Which routes will KLM operate with the Boeing 787-10?

According to Routes Online, these are the routes that have been confirmed and should start operating this summer:

  • Amsterdam – Dubai, starting on July 3 and flying 3 times per week.
  • Amsterdam – Kilimanjaro – Dar es Salaam – Amsterdam, starting on July 1 and flying four times a week. This is the earliest option to experience flying on a 787-10 with KLM
  • Amsterdam – Toronto, starting September 29 and departing five times per week

KLM will be the first European carrier to operate flights with this type of aircraft.

KLM to fly the new boeing 787-10 in July

How do KLM’s new 787-10s benefit the passengers?

It is simply more comfortable. The higher pressure inside the cabin, combined with quieter engines, makes the experience of flying just more enjoyable. You won’t even need to splash your cash on one of the 38 business class seats. You can sit back, relax and connect to the WiFi network that these planes will have available. All you need to do is book one of the 306 economy seats offered per flight.

Not fancy flying on any of the abovementioned routes? Here are some other options that will be served by KLM with a 787-10:

  • Amsterdam – Delhi, starting October 27. Not all the weekly flights will be operated with a 787-10 so keep an eye out when booking.
  • Amsterdam – Mumbai, starting October 27. Only the Sunday (from Amsterdam, Monday from Dubay) flight will be operated with the 787-10.

All the routes mentioned may change if the airline adjusts its timetable.

KLM will increase the number of flights between Schiphol and destinations in India to try and move into the gap created by Jet Airways’ bankruptcy.
