Were you more than 3 hours late because of a Loganair delay? Then you could be eligible for up to £520 in Loganair delayed flight compensation.
The amount of compensation depends on the distance of your flight.
For flights shorter than 1,500 km, the compensation is £220.
For flights between 1,500 and 3,500 km, the compensation is £350.
For flights of over 1,500 kilometres within the EU, the compensation is also £350.
For flights of over 3,500 kilometres outside of the EU, the compensation is £520 —but if your flight was delayed by fewer than 4 hours, the total amount might be reduced by 50%.
Depending on the circumstances of the cancellation of your Loganair flight, you may be entitled to a ticket refund, compensation of up to £520, or both.
To be able to get flight compensation for your cancelled Loganair flight:
Your flight must have been cancelled fewer than 14 days before the scheduled departure date.
The airline must have been the party responsible for the cancellation (see the “Extraordinary circumstances” section of this page for more information)
You may be eligible for a Loganair cancelled flight refund if your flight was cancelled and you did not take the alternative flight offered by the airline.
If you were not offered an alternative flight at all, you are also entitled to a ticket refund.
We generally advise against accepting a travel voucher. This is because:
Accepting a travel voucher means you must fly with the same airline again in the future. In addition, airlines usually impose a time limit for redeeming a voucher.
If the airline declares bankruptcy, you might have problems converting your voucher into a monetary refund — in other words, your money will be lost.
We call extraordinary circumstances situations where the airline is not the party at fault for the delay or cancellation of your flight. If any of the following conditions apply to your Loganair flight delay or cancellation, you may not be eligible for Loganair delayed or cancelled flight compensation (this list is non-exhaustive):
Bad weather conditions, such as thick fog, heavy rain, or thunderstorms.
A strike, most often specifically within the aviation industry (for example, a strike of air traffic control workers at a specific airport).
However, a strike of the airline's crew is not considered an extraordinary circumstance!
Political circumstances, such as a terrorist attack or general security risk due to political unrest.
Natural disasters, including volcanic eruptions and hurricanes.
A collision between the aircraft and birds or other foreign objects.
An ill or unruly passenger.
Flight delays caused by the airport staff, such as extraordinarily long queues to security checks.
Be aware: the airline may falsely claim that the delay or cancellation was caused by an unforeseen event!
When this occurs, we recommend that you double-check the information.
