KLM-Air France transported more passengers in April

In April 2014 alone, Air France-KLM brought 6.7 million people to their destination. This is an increase of 1.8 percent compared to the year before.

The French-Dutch airline announced on Monday that the annual passenger traffic has increased by 3%. The number of occupied seats increased on average by 0.7 %.

Seat reservations increased by 1.9% and aircraft utilization rates are now at an average of 84.7 %. Air France has recognized the measure of efficiency early and even improved by 4.1 percentage points compared to last year. According to the company, this is the result of the restructuring measures they have pursued.

There has been a particularly strong demand for air travel to and from Africa (6%) and South America (5.5%). The demand for Asia however, decreased by 1%. Passenger traffic in Europe has increased by 1.5 percent.
