Jeremy Clarkson and his flight delay horror

Thursday, December 8, 2016

Airport check-inFormer Top Gear presenter and motor enthusiast Jeremy Clarkson was prevented from boarding a flight to the UK.
The Sun columnist's planned flight had to be changed, although the presenter stated that the intended flight arrived later than the one he was moved on to, owing to a flight delay.
Mr. Clarkson will not be entitled to flight delay compensation, as he was denied boarding due to him checking in luggage after the deadline to do so.
It was reported that Mr. Clarkson had been refused due to being drunk, a claim which he denies.
The incident has caused a furore because it has been reported that the member of staff at the airport was Argentine and refused to board him as ‘revenge’ for a television stunt that Clarkson was involved in when presenting Top Gear. It is alleged that the staff member told off the former Top Gear man before walking away.
The stunt in question offended Argentina as it appeared to glorify the Falklands conflict that took place between Britain and Argentina in the 1980’s.
It was confirmed by Stuttgart airport that the member of staff in question was, in fact, Spanish.
When speaking to the Sun, Clarkson is reported to have said, “He’s a stupid, bitter and twisted little man,” Clarkson told the Sun. He added: “This ignorant little worm made us miss our plane and he will pay for it. The police said it was a hate crime and he would be arrested.”
The member of staff involved was later interviewed by the Sun and said, "I wasn't rude, I was polite and professional."
The airport where the incident happened have stated that they will open an investigation into the events.
