EasyJet cancels hundreds of flights amid anticipated strike in Portugal

In response to a strike of easyJet’s Portugal cabin crew, easyJet has reportedly cancelled 384 flights. Passengers of these flights are entitled to compensation of up to £520 per passenger.

According to the latest reports, the strikes are scheduled to take place later this week for 26, 28 and 30 May, 1 and 3 June, and have been called by the National Union of Civil Aviation Flight Personnel (SNPVAC) to address pressing labour issues. The union alleges that easyJet has been discriminating against its Portuguese workforce, leading to this significant action.
