Increase in Dutch air traffic in 2013

Nearly all Dutch airports saw an increase air traffic in 2013 compared to the year before, according to the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS). Airport Eelde in Groningen was the only Dutch airport that processed fewer flights than in 2012.

Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport saw an increase in the amount of flights processed per year by 2000. This amounts to 800,000 additional passengers compared to the year before. Together, the Dutch airports processed 8,000 flights more than in previous years.

Airport Eelde processed 400 fewer flights than in 2013. This decrease is mainly due to the cancellation of connections to the airports Milan-Bergamo and Marseille.
