CTOT Delays or cancellations and your right to compensation under EU Regulation 261/2004
Flight delays or cancellations can be frustrating and the consequences far reaching. From missing a connecting flight, to missing a vacation day, a work day, a pre-paid dinner and so on and so forth. One common reason airlines often use to deny a compensation request is by stating that air traffic control has imposed a restriction on the flight, which means that a new CTOT applies, often resulting in a delay or even a cancellation.
