Passenger tries to open aircraft door mid-flight

A passenger was recently arrested as he attempted to open aircraft doors at 3000ft. The KLM flight was on its way from Edinburgh to Amsterdam when the Scotsman tried to open the door, allegedly mistaking it for the toilet. Mr Gray claims he barely touched the handle when he was confronted by KLM staff. He was arrested by the police upon arrival and was fined 600 EUR (£434). Mr Gray has also been banned from flying with KLM for the next five years and was forced to use a different airline for his return flight.

This is not the first time a passenger has been restrained for trying to open aircraft doors. Airlines have become increasingly vigilant and penalties more severe in order to set an example.
