Removable plane cabins for emergency landings

Thursday, January 21, 2016

A Ukrainian inventor has designed a plane with detachable cabins. In case of an emergency, the lower part of the cabin (including the luggage compartment) can be detached. This part of the cabin is then able to land safely with the help of parachutes and airbags.

Higher costs for more security.

In a statement, Tatarenko Vladimir Nikolaevich told The Independent how he worked on the latest model for three years. Approximately 95 percent of respondents interviewed during his research showed willingness to pay more for a seat on board his invention.

However, this new design also raises further questions, namely; where the pilots go once the cabins are detached. So far the inventor does not have the answer to this.
