Ryanair may still face their worst ever strike later this month

Unions in 5 European countries are planning to strike altogether. The 28 September date for the strike is expected to be confirmed in the following days. Representatives of the workers stated that this strike would be the “biggest strike action the company has ever seen”.

Mr. Lambot, from the Belgian union CNE, said: "Unions in Spain, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands and Portugal are involved, (…) It will be bigger than the cabin crew strike in July. We are meeting next week to prepare the strike."

During last July’s cabin crew strike, Ryanair had to cancel more than 600 flights. The Unions that may take part in the industrial action are: Uiltrasporti in Italy, FILT-CGIL in Italy, SNPVAC in Portugal and USO in Spain.

Ryanair had to cancel 150 scheduled flights already in Germany past Wednesday due to a walk-out by German pilots and cabin crew staff.
